Biography:
V, a fictional character, first appeared in V for Vendetta #1 (1982), published by Quality Comics, later acquired by DC Comics. He is the central protagonist of the comic book series V for Vendetta.
V is an anarchist revolutionary who wages a one-man war against a totalitarian regime that controls a futuristic United Kingdom. His origins are shrouded in mystery; his true identity is never revealed. All that is known is that he was a victim of experimentation at a concentration camp called Larkhill, where he was subjected to horrific medical experiments. These experiments granted him superhuman abilities but also left him physically and psychologically scarred.
Driven by a desire for vengeance and a belief in individual freedom, V uses theatrical violence, propaganda, and manipulation to dismantle the state. He wears a Guy Fawkes mask to conceal his disfigured face and adopts the persona of a modern-day terrorist, aiming to inspire the populace to rise up and overthrow their oppressors. His enemies include the Norsefire party and its paramilitary wing, the Milice Civile.
